"Third-hand smoke is the residual tobacco smoke that lands on items and stays there after a cigarette has been put out. Tar and nicotine particles linger on surfaces, including clothing, hair, furniture, car upholstery, and pet fur. Over time, these particles can release 200 poisonous gases and they have been linked to cancer. For three minutes after smoking a cigarette, residuals on a person's breath and clothing can contaminate a space that they enter.
It can take up to two weeks for a pre...

All kids really want this Christmas is for their parents to stop smoking

More than half of children with a parent who smokes say that their one wish for Christmas is that their mum or dad give up smoking.

I noticed in the news today that Kentucky is gearing up to further smoke- free legislation in 2013. It has been my
direction for some time to put energies into getting kids to not start. Einstein said it is easier to get started in anything than it is to get oneself out of anything....  Santa Quits Smoking In New Edition

    Of Best-Selling Christmas Classic

A new edition of the timeless classic children’s book, Twas The Night Before Christmas, is being released amidst controversy. The version being published by child advocate Pamela McColl has edited out references of Santa smoking a pipe.
