I noticed in the news today that Kentucky is gearing up to further smoke- free legislation in 2013. It has been my
direction for some time to put energies into getting kids to not start. Einstein said it is easier to get started in anything than it is to get oneself out of anything.... I don't know the exact quote but you get the idea. Addiction can be a tricky concept to explain to an adult let alone a child but this is the conversation we need to develop in our social cure to tobacco use.

Washington, DC—In a May 8 letter signed by 38 state and territorial Attorneys General, the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) urged 10 movie studios to adopt published policies to eliminate tobacco depictions in youth-rated movies. I just spent an hour readiing articles on the NIDA website and I am encourged to know that there may be
advances by science that can really help people quit. This is on the frontier but it is alway amazing to

We were going to launch the book on May 31st. 2012 in conjunction with the World Health Organizations No Tobacco Day but we have now changed the date of release to September 4th. so that it will be included in holiday books for children.
